A minimalist with too many hobbies. Need to slow down.
Bruhhh, I be having way too many hobbies. I have taken the old adage “a jack of all trades, master of none” to heart throughout my entire life and enjoy engaging in a diverse range of hobbies.
Some of the hobbies I enjoy:
Coding (Keeping up to date with the latest tech)
Investing (Stocks, Real estate, Crypto)
Learning how to write blogs
Collecting Comic books(I got stuff from the golden age to the silver age)
list goes on..
Despite what the expression suggests, I aim to become an expert in every hobby I dabble in. However, having so many different interests conflicts with reality of time. There is just not enough time in the day to dedicate to each of these interests. This notion has made me realized the importance of “slowing down” to be able to truly soak in the experience of every activity and dedicate the necessary time and effort to master a skill. Slowing down requires a prioritization of the hobbies, which may be a difficult task.
As a minimalist I really need to ask myself “what brings value to my life?”
With this mindset, I plan to center my focus according to three main areas:
Training Jiu Jitsu and balancing a healthy diet.
Enhance my photography and videography skills to follow my passion in the creativity and production space.
Continue my career growth by being involved and staying up with the latest technology in the software engineering space.
