Packing with a Minimalist mindset

Packing with a Minimalist mindset

A lot of people tend to overpack, but doing so may potentially detract from the experience. Traveling as a minimalist can be challenging, but I found a few helpful tips to make things easier. Bringing the items that bring value to you and your trip may allow you to focus more clearly on the overall experience.

Whether it's a local excursion or an international trip, I bring only one backpack that encases all my essentials. The Wandrd Prvke 31L backpack includes separate compartments for clothes and camera gear. Additionally, there are small pockets and sections that fit my keys, inhaler, passport, etc.

Here are a few helpful guidelines for packing with a minimalist mindset:

  • Only pack what you need. Packing as a minimalist does not mean you are not prepared. It focuses on including all the things you absolutely need.
  • Utilize packing cubes (purchased from amazon).
  • Plan your outfits (check the weather of your destination)
  • Bring versatile clothes that are easy to pack and withstand multiple weather conditions (cold temperature, rain, etc)
